I see that these two ladies are wearing dresses that have the same patterns and drawings. They not only wore nice dresses, but also they put hats on their heads, earings, necklaces, bracelets, shoes and everything. Keita decorated the models completely from top to the bottom.
Also, Keita put something on the back. He did not take this picture just for the sake of taking it. He set up the spot nicely with a beautiful patterned blanket or whatever behind the two women. Also Keita has put a rug(?) or something nice looking on the ground.
I see that the lady on the left side is older than the other. However, the one on the left seems to be less encouraged while the other one has more confidence in her face. They are holding each other's arms and hands, but their faces look like someone told them to do so.
I guess Keita does care about the fashion in his photos. He has a sense of art that makes things look pretty. He not only cares about the target(model) of his pictures, but also the rest of the things that involves in the pictures such as background, floor and everything. He seems to be serious and professional with his work.
I guess the two are good friends or mom & daughter. If they are mom and daughter relationship, the one on the right should be the daughter who is confident because her mom is with her supporting.
I have three assumptions about them holding hands and arms but having non-excited faces. First, it could be the tradition that they do not smile in the photos as other photos from this period of time. Second, or it could be that they are not that close to each other but Keita forced them to look close in the picture and they felt uncomfortable. Third, maybe the models are not used to wearing those kinds of dresses with all the jewels, especially the woman on the left. I kind of get the feeling that she is a hard worker trying to earn money to survive.
